Monday, September 28th
See-SAAW 24 hour Awareness Event- Location: West entrance of the Student Union Stand for Survivors: Signs for Social Change (5:30 - 7:00 PM) - Location: Wagner East Green. Event open for all student organizations-RSVP required (Limit of 40 orgs). One representative is allowed per organization. All signs created will be shown digitally at the Union entrance.
Tuesday, September 29th
Shattering Stereotypes (5:30 - 7:00)- Location: Honors Cul-de-sac. A "fireside" discussion surrounding gender stereotypes, toxic masculinity, and other associated topics. The event will provide s a safe environment to learn, discuss, and Shatter stereotypes. RSVP and masks are required for this event (40 - person limit).
Wednesday, September 30th
Sex Signals (7:00-9:00 PM)- A humor-facilitated and inclusive program which aims to examine our culture, sex, and prevention strategies like bystander intervention. A virtual showing of the event will take place in the East side of the Volstorff Ballroom (60 person limit). Additionally, students can individually watch the event with a link that will be e-mailed after sign-up.
Thursday, October 1st
Color Run/5k (4:00 -7:00 PM)- Start Location: South of the Wellness Center. Start times will be staggered starting at 4:00 pm. Start times will be assigned after signup. RSVP is required with a $10 entry fee (102 free t-shirts of varying sizes will be given away). Cash and Venmo will be accepted at the start of the event. All proceeds will be given to the Brookings Domestic Abuse Shelter. Masks are not required by participants.
